In a separate event on Wednesday, the IDF killed two terrorists who were attempting to cross the Yellow Line border, which divides Gaza into Israeli and Palestinian-controlled areas.
"The terrorists crossed the Yellow Line and approached the troops, posing an immediate threat to them," the military said.
"Following the identification, the troops eliminated one of the terrorists in order to remove the threat," the statement added.
